“I’m glad you didn't reenlist.” Kat said as she pulled her legs up onto the bed, crossing them in what they called the Indian style when they were kids. “For one, I don’t think your mother could have handled it, might have kidnapped you and held you in her basement and starved you till you saw reason.” She added joking a little. She could just imagine Sophia trying to shove her son through the basement door and the image was just too funny.
Getting serious again Katerina thought about what he just said. She believed he would make a great father to their child, even if he wasn't so certain about that yet himself Kat could just see him being a wonderful father, no matter what the sex of the baby ends up being. Looking into those baby blue eyes of his Kat said to him “Well you have that chance to find out now.” She said, ducking her head as she said “I honestly believe you’ll make a great dad to our kid, even though the saying is that your child will be 3 times as bad as you were as a child.” She smiled at him when she said that. 202 WORDS FOR JOHN S. John could just imagine that as well and a smile curved his lips. Talking to Kat, no matter what the topic was, had always come fairly easy to him. "I don't know why you're so worried about our child being worse than me, I was an angel. Just ask my mother," he teased, knowing full well that he had been a nightmare child. Hearing her say that he would make a great father really meant something to him and he laid back, sideways across the bed, pulling her with him. "Thanks," he said, propping his head up on his hand, using his elbow.
His hand came to rest on her stomach, fingers spreading out. It was so odd to think that what was growing inside of her was going to change their lives forever. "I don't know about you though." John could never go long without joking. "I swear I saw a little kid cry, just from being near you once." He smiled, but figured he would be honest with her. "I think you'll be an amazing mother. And a hot one too. If we have a girl, we can name her Stacy because... you know, Stacy's mom has got it goin' on." Winking at her, he knew that one was a terrible pun. Not to mention, he really didn't like the name Stacy. 2893 WORDS FOR KATERINA A. MONTGOMERY | HURRICANE LYRICS BY 30 SECONDS TO MARS | TEMPLATE BY MERCY

Kat couldn’t but laugh “Oh lord you just had to bring up that oldies song didn't you?” she giggled a little. “But of course I’ll be a great mom, but only because I’ll be getting tips from mine and your mom.” She said grinning. She fully intended on getting as much knowledge out of Sophia as she could, what with her having raised four children rather successfully, Kat figured she ought to know at least a thing or two by now.
Grinning over at John from where she lay beside him she said “You know, you won’t be such a bad looking father, I’ll probably have to beat the hockey moms off with a hockey stick to keep them away from you.” She winked at him before leaning over and kissing him. She braced herself with one hand on the bed as she touched the side of his stubbled cheek with her hand. She loved the feeling of his beard growing out and hoped that he didn't shave it anytime soon.

John smiled triumphantly against her lips when she kissed him. "So you finally admit that our kids are going to play hockey!" It was the first time that John used the plural form of the word kid and for good reason. Until that point, he'd been unsure of how things would work out between them. He may have still had his doubts, but he was slowly starting to realize that... well, he wasn't sure what exactly, but he figured he might as well try out the whole settling down with a family thing. He wouldn't mind having a few kids as opposed to just one.
Shifting a bit, John gently pushed her onto her back and climbed over top of her, using his muscular arms to hold himself up. Kissing her neck, he laughed quietly at the thought of her brandishing a hockey stick at other women. "I can't wait to see that." His kisses traveled up her neck, to just below her jaw line, stubble scratching lightly against her skin. Moving a hand so that he was now only balancing on one, he allowed the other to slide up her borrowed shirt and up along her side. 2893 WORDS FOR KATERINA A. Katerina laughed a little at his excitement over the hockey thing. “I’m definitely giving it some thought, though I’m a big believer in free will.” She said with a grin. She herself had been a cheerleader and was in the band for a year just to try it out. “You never know, our kids might turn out not to like sports and be band geeks, playing trumpet tuba and all those other annoying instruments like the drums.” Kat grinned at him besides the tickling of his growing beard against her neck, almost daring him to say something bad about band geeks. It had been her sophomore year that she had been in band, the year after he graduated, so she suspected he didn't even know that she had experimented with being in the band.
He was totally teasing her to death at the moment and she figured she might as well try to get even. She ran her fingers down his spine, him being considerably less dressed than she was, all the way to the elastic of his boxers. Then she ran her fingers lightly around to his stomach and teasingly slipped the tips of her fingers under the elastic band.
