I promise this isn't too hard, but I figure I should make a guide regarding the application process for members who might not be use to this method. If you have any questions, don't be shy; just ask! Don't forget to make your OOC account before starting your character account.

EDITING YOUR PROFILE

So rather than having you post a long application, you'll instead be adding all of your character's important info to your member profile. All you need to do here is edit the profile and switch to the "Personal" tab. Now would be a good time to change your display name to your character first name, middle initial, and last name. It should look like this: John S. Doe

You don't need to fill out Location, website name/URL or recent status... you can, but it's not required at all. Also, signatures are disabled (because we have such large, beautiful icons), so you can skip right over that.

Once you hit "Your Alias" though, this is where you need to start filling things out. Your alias is, of course, your alias! Just put your OOC name here. Almost everything else is pretty much self explanatory, until you reach the about section.

ABOUT YOUR CHARACTER

On older forums, I use to have people fill out Personality and Appearance sections... I don't know why I bothered with that because even I hated it. We have images, so we know what characters look like... so don't worry about talking about their appearance. In the about section, you can fill out pretty much whatever you want. We're looking for a bit of your character's history and anything else you can think to say here. It would be nice if you talked a little about personality, but you can always just include personality in your shipper, instead.

Some of you might be asking what the hell a shipper is. It's just a plot page. We ask that all members have only one shipper that includes all of their characters. You can add a link to your shipper in your character's profile, after your character has been accepted.

submitting your application

This is quick and painless. PLEASE wait until your character is finished to do this and please post using your new character's account. All your going to do is start a thread in the pending applications board. You'll be prompted for some info, just fill that out and BAM! You're done. A staff member will review your character ASAP (If it's been more than 24 hours, feel free to shoot one of us a PM). Please don't bump you thread or anything like that, we'll see it. If we find something wrong, a staff member will respond to your application thread. Once you're accepted and sorted into the right member group, you're free to start RPing. The title of your application thread should be a line of lyrics or a quote. The description should look like this: Character First and Last - Age in numbers - occupation
