do humans know about the supernaturals?

Nope! At least, not the vast majority of them. There's sure to be some who know the secret, though they also probably know the importance of secrecy and the risks involved if they were to squeal. The other humans who know about the existence of supernaturals would, of course, be hunters.

HOW DO EACH OF THE SPECIES AGE?

The only immortal species is vampires. Shifters, werewolves, and witches all age at the same rate as humans. Some witches have found ways to prolong the aging process, though the knowledge is rare and not often shared.

why do we need an ooc account?

It just helps us to organize everything. For instance, if we're going to send out a site-wide PM, it's easier for everyone if we just send a PM to all OOC accounts. Not only that, but if you have a number of character accounts, it's just easier knowing that all of your PMs are going to the same account.

does my character have to have a playby?

Yes. Only RL playbys will be accepted.

is it okay for my character to have a baby?

Of course! I'm not going to keep your characters from reproducing. All we ask is that you keep things realistic and do your research.

can we share playbys?

No, but there is one exception to this and that is if your playby has an identical twin of the same gender.

If a character dies, what happens to their playby and account?

If a character dies, their account will be marked as "dead." This is similar to us marking them as retired, only you can't reinstate them. Just because a character is dead in this world though, doesn't mean we can't see them again... who knows, maybe there will be a site wide plot involving ghosts some day. Or maybe you'll have a personal plot involving ghosts. For this reason, dead characters will still be able to post in the IC boards. We'll soon be making an information thread about ghosts. As for their playby, they will be reopened. Dead characters are not subjected to activity checks and you're not even required to ever post as them again.

can i be a staff member?

Your chances of becoming a member of the staff are much better if you don't ask this question. When we're in need of help, we'll make an announcement and you can send a private PM to the staff.
